#throwback to 1st December, when I finally got my own ride!!!! It's the first time I worked so hard to buy myself a car - used car. But I love that it's a full time 4WD.
Now I can start planning my road trip!!! This is the part I miss my BFF the most. Wish me luck!!!

Then, Peter invited me to his place for cheesecake! It's so delicious and yet so fattening that I can't stop eating it. He gave me the website for the recipe and now he is expecting me to bake him 1.

As usual, we talked a lot and about stuff that we are going to do, which we hope it can go according to plan.
Being a gentleman as he is, Peter always walks me home no matter how tired he is. Definitely sometime I don't see everyday.

On 2nd of December, it's Paul and Charlene's farewell! They are one of the nicest and funny french couple I met so far. Apart from Gail and Etienne, whom are also very nice.
Weather was bad and there's no work for us the whole day. Hence, I'm really looking forward for the dinner because I have been lazing around at home the whole day!!! Not really whole day, I updated my blog, sent my car for tyre checked, sent postcards, made duplicated keys, etc.

Seriously, Peter is the best chef I ever have!!! That is a seriously awesome burger! I have never compliment any burger or its' taste, except Ramly's burger ayam special, but this is da thang yo!!!
After dinner, we just all sit, listen to music and talked about the next travelling plan. It's weird that I never plan on joining any hikes for the so many days.
Reason 1: I don't have gears for it
Reason 2: I never done it before and now without an experience partner, it seems dangerous.

I don't remember how long since I last need to entertain drunkard, but I was doing so 2 nights ago and then I need to wake up freaking early yesterday to drive to Hamilton, which is 3.5 hours away. Then head to Raglan and Kawhia, which is almost 2 hours drive and then back to Hamilton.
Not a very good experience with lack of sleep!

We survived in the end. Reached back to the host place and he is asleep so we thought we gonna sleep in our car but he woke up in the end to open the door for us. Feeling bad!

Dear Dayre,
I'm back from my short trip! *yey* The first day was quite epic, especially when the petrol light is blinking and we are in the middle of no where and there's not a single car that past by along the road.

Begin my 3.5 hours journey to Hamilton! I am seriously enjoying the beautiful view.

Finally gotta meet up with this crazy woman!!! My ex-roomie, my chef, my chatterbox. 
We travelled to Raglan after our brunch to visit the Bridal Veil Falls. The epic thing was we decided to hike with flip flop. 
It's really huge!!!
After Raglan, we went to Kawhia to visit the hot spring at the Kawhia Ocean Beach.
We have been digging for so long and we finally got a small pool of water. *pathetic*
And the water is really hot!!! *magical*

After the drive and walk and the digging. Is DINNER TIME!!!!~ We wanted to try the seafood restaurant but it was closed so we went to try another one which is highly recommended by TripAdvisor.
#dinner were delicious and we were so bloated after that because of the huge portion.
After dinner, we decided to get some petrol before head back to Hamilton as the petrol level seems quite low.
However, all the petrol stations were closed and when I asked the local they said I can drive to Te Awamutu for a 24 hours petrol station and so I did.
To my dismay, it was closed too. The petrol level sign was light up and now I was in a panic mood. Sze Man tried to calm me down and being optimistic but I was still panicking. There were not a single car along the driveway!
However, all the petrol stations were closed and when I asked the local they said I can drive to Te Awamutu for a 24 hours petrol station and so I did.

Came back to the Airbnb host's place and they already went to bed. We called them up and feeling a bit embarrassed about it and explain ourselves. They are very nice and keeps saying it's OK and they understand it was a long drive.

Again, we drove another long journey to Matamata for Hobbitton tour. Overall, it was a very cool tour getting to know how the set is film and made, trying to guess which props are real and which are fakes.

The view is great!!!~ The owner is freaking rich with the amount of acres of land he actually owned.

He is hosting 2 Taiwanese and 1 Korean girl and it was a really pleasant surprised to be meeting him out of Auckland.

As everything closes early on weekends, we decided to hit the Hamilton Lake Domain for a chillax moments. Not to mention more emo pictures. Hahaha!
As we were looking through some brochures, we found out that Hamilton has the biggest shopping mall in New Zealand - called The Base.
We didn't know it closes at 6pm, so we arrived at 5.30pm. As the shopaholic me, I managed to grab 2 skirts from Supré before they closed.

It's PASAR MALAM!!!!!! I'm soooooooo cravings for street food. I had satay and dimsum! *weeeeeee* and churros!
Honestly, it tasted nothing like what I had back home, but it's enough to clear my cravings.

After dinner, we went home and have a nice long chat with the host. They are so sweet and nice to tell us what we should do next with our visas and all.
Hamilton Garden is definitely a MUST VISIT place in Hamilton. It's so beautiful with all the different flora. Picture perfect moment!
Japanese garden is definitely one of my favourite!
Then, it's the Chinese and Italian garden. 
There's also lotsa roses there!!! One of them is called, "Little Miss Perfect". I'm taking that to show Peter. Hahahaha!!!

After that, we went back to The Base to continue shopping and then head to city to watch the Christmas Parade! It's really funny because you see lion dance and fan dance as well.

After the parade, we part ways again and I drove 4 hours back to Opotiki.
This time it wasn't that hard to say goodbye, because we already made our Christmas plan to meet each other!

Our contractor, Khan and Shan decided to throw Alex, Esther and Hannah a farewell party with curry chicken. Honestly, the food was not bad, so is the food. But the best part was after the dinner, we went back home and Mel's family was holding another BBQ party and the Stewart Street townhouse are invited to join. So, it's ABBA whole night with dance and booze!

My 2 German housemates, Alex and Esther left this morning at 3am. *sigh* I'm missing them already, especially my shopping buddy, Esther. Even though, I will still see her again in maybe a few months time, but we were kinda attached in a way somehow.
Hannah, my Holland roomie is leaving this Thursday. Then, I'm all alone for a week!!!!!!!!
Craig, my neighbour asked me either can choose to move back to Stewart St. or I can stay here. So, the lazy me choose to stay.

Again, it was so lovely of my BFF to send me a Christmas card. Coming home after a tired day of work and reading the thought written by Serene and Aaron really make me teared. I really wish my BFFs are here with me to travel and go all crazy.

Today is all about Christmas celebration, food and booze!!~ I made cheese platter!!~ with some help from Peter. I think it turns out pretty good. ^_^ *proud*

Supposed to leave Opotiki to travel to Rotorua for 4 days, but I received an email saying I was chosen as a volunteer for Rhythm & Vines Music Festival as part of the Artist Liaison Team!!!~ *yey*
So, I cut my trip from 4 days to 2 days, because I need to be at the festival site on 28th December 2015 for a team meeting.
Boxing Day means shopping day!!~
Bought a GoPro for my friend and it's the best investment ever for me now because I can use it! *yey*

On 28th, I had to wake up at 4am to get ready to drive to Gisborne, but the experience and memories I gained in the festival is priceless. Gonna post it up in another entry. As for now, I just took a clarinase for my flu and I'm off to bed. Gute Nacth!
